First Holy Communion

Dear Parents,

The Academy is very proud of Chase, Nate, and Nico for making their First Holy Communion.  They have worked very hard to prepare for this day.

Five Senses

Dear Parents,

Chase was the Scientist of the Week.  His experiment focused on the five senses.  Students had to use their sense of touch to guess what was in the box.  Great job Chase!

Classroom Gift

Dear Parents,

Students enjoyed making a mural of Sea Animals in the Multi-age Classroom.  Thank you Mrs. Vega for the great project.  A parent won the classroom gift at the Gala.

Week of the Young Child

Dear Parents,

Students enjoyed having different people from the community read to them.  A State Farm Representative, Pat McCaskey, Crossing Guard Bob, Mr. Sibick, and Mrs. Guidi enjoyed visiting our class.  We were excited to have them as visitors.

Buddy Reading and Buddy Work

Dear Parents,

Students enjoyed reading to a buddy.  They read page by page, choral (together), or echo reading (one person reads a sentence and the other repeats it).  Students learn more by working with their peers on concepts.

Prayer Service

Dear Parents,

Students enjoyed their Prayer Service with their friends.  Nico even read a part of it!

Children Museum at Navy Pier

Dear Parents,

Students were engaged and learning at the Children Museum at Navy Pier.  It had many fun learning opportunities.  Students explored how to build a skyscraper, a tent, and much more!  Enjoy the photographs.
